Hollister Blog |
This blog is run by a Hollister employee, working in the UK. I have also worked for Abercrombie & Fitch in the past, and created this blog to share the latest HCO news and to answer any questions at all that you guys might have. (the only things I will not answer is anything that will give away my identity, in order to make sure nobody from my store finds out about this blog). All opinions are my own and the store has no input into this! Enjoy :) <3 |
but thanks for following me and asking stuff when I started up <3
Anonymous asked: heey there, i got an interview at hollister in a couple weeks, is it okay to wear a pink plaid sleeved shirt, a white tank, medium dark jeans, and flip flops?(not from hollister).
sounds good to me! but I’d wear the plaid shirt buttoned up with not a lot of the tank showing, ‘cause that’s more the way Hollister staff wear them :)
fearless-strength asked: can i ahve the link to your archive please? thanks (:
Anonymous asked: my manager is so rude she doesnt know manners at all. n a very big raciest so i want give complaint on her so what should i do now??
I’ve never had to deal with this situation so I’m not entirely sure, but I think you may be able to contact your DM and complain to them and say exactly what your manager is doing that you think is wrong. If they are being racist, that goes completely against the Hollister policy of encouraging diversity etc, so definitely say something either to your managers face or to your DM. Also ask other employees if they’ve had this problem before, as it may already be an issue at your store. Hope this helps and you get things sorted!

Anonymous asked: I start work in about a week but i don't know how i can check my hours?:(
go to the anfcorp website and login using your details - this should have been set up for you at some point after your orientation. If you can’t log in, you can always call your store and ask :)
Anonymous asked: hey i have a question, alright so i have my first call-in this friday. now, i had plans for that friday, once you call in and ask if they need you, if they say no are you free to go or do you have to spend the whole time period in which you were supposed to be working waiting for the possibility of a call??
If you call and they say they don’t need you, then they shouldn’t change their mind so go ahead and carry on with whatever you want to do that day :)
Anonymous asked: what's the routine you should have everyday for work. my manager told me on my first day and im coming in today and completely forgot! D: its something like put your bag away, look at cork board, get manager?
That sounds kinda like what happens at my store - but I guess it varies. For me, I put my things away and check the cork board like you said, and my manager will generally be hanging around the back so I’ll come across her without really trying :P so I’ll ask if there’s anything different I need to do, go say hey to a few other associates if they’re around and then start working!
Look on my FAQs under the ‘interview’ section - hope that helps!
